hi my name is tammy .....and i was perfectly healthy until 4/4/2004 ....i had a motorcycle wreck going 5 mph.... ALL i broke was my sacrumand got a tiny cut on my elbo.
it hurt like crazy but that's all i broke the dr gave me steroids for 2 weeks, no pain pills,
( NOW THE WRECK OR STEROIDS ...
MAY NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH MY MEDICAL PROBLEMS....IM JUST STARTING FROM THE BEGINNING)
IN AUG 2004 i was having lower back pain and went to 4 different doctors including a urologist , one of the dr.s back xrays was a little low and showed a fracture in my left hip.he called it avescular necrosis....and said it was probably broken during the wreck...the mri from 4/4/2004 did not show it...i took it to several dr.s...
i had my left hip replaced 1/2005 and was still having lower back pain,another dr xrayed my right hip.....it too was broke, the Dr. said it probably happened during my 1st surgry.
i had paid cash for the 1st surgery at the ing clinic in mt. vernon ,plus all the dr visits up to this point.
.... because i had no insurance, i was put on a waiting list at parkland, in dallas until november 2005. i had the right hip replaced. but i still had lower back pain,
iv been to a sacral cranial theripest,( theres you a voo doo dr!)...LOL
accupunturest,several chiropractors....then a dr sent me for xrays i had 5 compression fractures in my back.
Adding to all my other medical problems, had to have a partial hystorectomy in november 2006.
iv been to johns hopkins. baltamore md...southwestern medical dallas, mcbride bone and joint -okc ,texas back instatute, allot of endriconoligest,rumatoligests,and mineral metabolisum clinics....
NO ONE CAN FIGURE IT OUT! 28 doctors in 5 states over $100,000 of my own money...i was a waitress,not some ceo executive.
so now im broke,almost homeless,and very desprite to find out whats wrong with me.( i do have sooner care now)
i was 5ft 6in 2 yrs ago and am now 4ft 71/2in ....(EVERY BONE IN MY BACK & NECK HAS A COMPRESSION FRACTURE!)
i do have an appointment in new york at columbia medical .....i hope for the best but expect nothing.
right now im not doing so good....i had an mri on my knees 3 weeks ago that showed 1 compression fracture below my right knee, and 2 below my left knee......then .....i fell 2 weeks ago and broke my left wrist,right ankle,and 2 ribs.....had surgry on my wrist ...11 days ago....but (and this is the good news!) it is actually growing back together....a really big deal for me!
because my fractures have not been healing for such a long time,
then thursday xrays on my knees showed that i now have 4 compression fractures below my left knee.....from trying to stay off the right broken ankle...plus 2 more fractured rib FROM COUGHING! / phenmonia in my left lung....and then as if things wernt bad enough ....saturday i fell and really did myself in....broke 3 more ribs, my pubis bone,and pelvis....
NOW...im in an electric wheel chair,havent baithed since last wednesday and hurt way to bad to even eat, im living alone in my aunt irmas house....shes in a nursing home.
and im affraid that's where im gonna end up at age 44.
my life was so full before ...i rode race horses for 13 yrs,trick horses since i was 11 ,trick motorcycles,loved to travel,dive,play golf,and worked out 5 days aweek,now i do nothing..........really ....all my friends have gone, iv moved back to a really hick town in oklahoma from dallas just to be close to my family. THANK GOD FOR THEM!

anyway i moved into my aunts house
the day after my fall....im still not unpacked yet...but its really nice here....this morning i had 11 deer in my yard and for the last few days turkey have been hanging out here,i even set on the porch and they dont run off!
i just got internet last week ,a phone friday, and my tv will be turned on next thursday!!!!!!!!!!! YIPPPPIIIIEE
